This year, 5 young women are participating in the 78th Annual Miss Penticton Program. Each candidate is sponsored by a local business or non-profit organization. The girls learn a wide range of skills including public speaking, tourism promotion, and self confidence. They also study the history of Penticton, learn time and money management, organization skills, teamwork skills, car care, self defense, etiquette and strengthening self esteem. They become ambassadors for Penticton at many out-of-town events, encouraging people to come and visit.

Our 2024-25 Miss Penticton Gurleen Grewal and Princess Cindy Li have been busy as ambassadors to Penticton and Peach Festival. For over 70 years, the Penticton Royalty travel throughout BC and the Pacific Northwest promoting our city, Peach Festival and locally supporting causes and events. In the past, cities visited included Summerland, Peachland, Kelowna, Armstrong, Vernon, Calgary, Wenatchee, Leavenworth, Spokane, Seattle, Tacoma, Olympia, Portland, New Westminster, Cranbrook, Castlegar, Trail and White Rock. This year our Royalty Team will be busy promoting Penticton and Peach Festival through BC and Alberta.

As part of the program, each candidate has a full portrait session with Stuart Bish, beginning with a planning session to determine clothing, hair, location and many other details. The candidates have fun doing their portrait session, and the beautiful portraits created are exhibited throughout the community to help raise awareness of the Miss Penticton program and Peach Festival. Framed wall portraits then become a gift to the girls from their sponsors and Stuart Bish Photography, in appreciation for their effort and time committed to helping promote the community.

The 2025 – 2026 Royalty will be announced on Pageant Night, August 8th, 2025 at the Peach Festival Main Stage at Okanagan Lake Park.
